reviews
"Joseph’s prose is measured and expressive, as when the Sterns receive their first introduction to New York.... The book straddles several genres—it’s a novel of the Holocaust and of the immigrant experience, as well as a family saga—but it manages to feel intimate and contained. [An] engaging story about loss and family."
Kirkus Review
"Eva’s Daughters is a heartfelt story about one Holocaust survivor’s struggle to come to terms with her past and build a positive present and future for her new family. Marion Joseph writes with sincerity and in emotional detail about Eva’s personal journey, and with sensitivity and empathy for all of her characters."
